Mark Carpenter

Background and Career:
Mark was appointed CEO of Motorpoint Limited in May 2013 following two years as Chief Finance Officer. He has 17 years’ experience in motor retail and was previously Finance Director of Sytner Group from 2005 to 2010. Prior to this, Mark was with Andersen, where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant. He was appointed to the Board of Motorpoint Group plc in May 2016.

Chris Morgan

Background and Career:
Chris was appointed to the Board of Motorpoint Group plc in January 2021. Chris was formerly Group Finance Director at Speedy Hire Plc and brings a wealth of multi-site retail, financial and listed company experience. Prior to this, Chris held senior finance leadership positions at Go Outdoors and Tesco.

Andy Smyth

Appointment:
August 2019

Background and Career:
In the seven years before joining Motorpoint, Andy was the Group Operations Director for JLA Group, a Private Equity backed commercial services business. Andy led all operational and customer activities across the Group’s four divisions (Laundry, Catering, Fire Safety and Heating) and was responsible for the successful integration of the many acquisitions (seventeen) during this period. He experienced two material investor transactions and was part of the executive team that delivered an impressive 4.9x investment multiple and a 26% gross IRR over the investment period. Before that, Andy held various executive and senior management roles within British Gas including Head of Customer Service, Head of Commercial and Head of Operations.

Hayden Vokes

January 2020

Background and Career:
Hayden joined Motorpoint from TNT UK where he led the marketing function. Following the company’s acquisition by FedEx he became Integration Lead responsible for the design and implementation of the product, proposition, pricing and brand strategies across the two organisations. Prior to that he has managed marketing teams across a broad number of sectors in companies such as Sky, T-Mobile and Carphone Warehouse, where he managed their pureplay brands.

Cat Moseley

December 2017

Background and Career:
Prior to joining Motorpoint, Cat had a successful career spanning 10 years in the hospitality sector. She successfully led the people agenda as HR Director at Casual Dining Group, for brands including Bella Italia, Strada and Center Parcs (concessions). Prior to this, she held a number of Senior HR roles at Spirit Pub Company, where she supported the successful demerger from Punch Taverns.

External Roles:
Cat is a trustee for Umbrella, a charity that enables disabled children and young adults to realise their full potential.

Jon Baird

Appointment:
February 2000

Background and Career:
Jon is one of our longest serving team members, starting at Motorpoint just after our doors opened at our first site. He led our online and call centre teams for over two decades revolutionising the way cars were purchased from the traditional face to face offering, to the full omnichannel solution we have today.

Tara Walker

Appointment:
December 2019

Background and Career:
Prior to joining Motorpoint, Tara had a successful career pioneering digital transformation within several sectors across the globe. She was Group IT Director for Belcan; providing services to customers such as Rolls Royce, BAE Systems and Airbus; as well as leading on merger and acquisition activity from a technology perspective. Previous to that, Tara led the development and implementation of data driven, intelligent mobilising for blue light services across the Midlands, led on a joint Police & Fire HQ and training facility, as well as leading the channel shift agenda migrating customers from face-to-face services to online.

External Roles:
Tara is passionate about raising the STEM agenda for young girls, raising awareness through pod casts and school visits.
